About Easley's Free Range Berners

Raising Healthy, Happy Bernese Mountain Dogs in the Heart of the Missouri Ozarks

Located in Eagle Rock, Missouri, Easley's Free Range Berners is a small, family-operated breeding program dedicated to raising exceptional Bernese Mountain Dogs. Our puppies are born and raised in our home, surrounded by love, daily socialization, and the care they need to become confident, well-adjusted companions.

From our historic Green Berry Ranch to the lifelong relationships we build with our puppy families, everything we do is guided by a simple belief: every Bernese Mountain Dog deserves the very best start in life.

Our Family

Our dogs are family first.

We are micro-breeders who share our home with Sassy and Keeley, two full sisters we've raised since puppyhood. To ensure every puppy receives the attention and care they deserve, each girl has only one litter per year. This intentional approach allows us to be fully present for every milestone.

Our puppies are born and raised in our living room, where they receive around-the-clock care, early socialization, sensory enrichment, premium nutrition, and endless affection. From their very first days, they're surrounded by family life, helping them grow into loving, confident companions.

Green Berry Ranch

Green Berry Ranch is named in honor of our third great-grandfather, Green Berry Easley, one of the original settlers of the Eagle Rock area during the 1840s. Today, the ranch remains a cherished family legacy, with portions of the property tracing back to the original Easley homestead.

Nestled in the Ozark Mountains along the Roaring River arm of Table Rock Lake, Green Berry Ranch offers a peaceful environment where our Berners have room to explore, play, and simply enjoy being dogs.

The ranch is also home to OMARA, our historic family homestead built by John's grandparents, Ray and Roma Easley. Originally located on the banks of the Roaring River, the home was relocated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during the creation of Table Rock Lake.

In December 2022, we were blessed with the opportunity to purchase Green Berry Ranch and continue our family's legacy by building our home just east of the original homestead.

A Unique Fly-In Experience

If you're a pilot—or have one in the family—you can enjoy one of the most unique puppy pickup experiences anywhere.

Green Berry Ranch features a 1,400-foot by 70-foot grass runway (FAA Identifier: 95MO), allowing visitors to fly directly to the ranch to meet or pick up their puppy.

Please contact us before your arrival so we can prepare the runway and make sure our enthusiastic greeters, Keeley and Sassy, are safely inside.

Guests are also welcome to stay in our comfortable hangar apartment, relax around the fire pit, and spend quality time with their new puppy before heading home.

Our Love for Berners

Our journey began with a rescue Berner named Boss.

When we met Boss in 2006, we had no idea how profoundly he would change our lives. His loyalty, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion quickly made him an irreplaceable member of our family.

During John's deployments to Afghanistan, Boss faithfully watched over our family, providing comfort, companionship, and a reassuring presence at home.

His remarkable character inspired our lifelong love for the breed and remains the heart of everything we do today.

Meet Our Berners

Keeley and Sassy joined our family in December 2023 and have been inseparable ever since.

Registered with the American Kennel Club as Lasso Keeley Jones and Lasso Sassy, they come from respected bloodlines and possess the gentle temperament, intelligence, and loving personalities that make Bernese Mountain Dogs such wonderful companions.

They enjoy life on Green Berry Ranch with 90 beautiful acres to explore, plenty of space to play, and all the comforts of being treasured members of our family.
